I have a 30+ yr old ceiling mount Reznor heater where the gas valve will not actuate. The heater has no model # plate or identification and the honeywell gas valve is too old for anyone to find a reference, including honeywell. (model #V80A6DJ4X3)Natural Gas.
I wanted to know if I can put any model 1/2" gas valve on this unit to replace it. It only has the two 24V wires going to it, no knob or other control with it, the pilot is separate from this valve. It really does not appear to be that technical and I wish I could replace the solenoid in the valve but that is probably a really long shot. I am reading 24v at the valve, before I removed it that is.
