old Montgumry ward furnace


alright so since im without work i agreed to help my friend fix his furnace that has ben sitting off for age's, i plugged in the power and the motor tryed for about 20 seconds then stopped so i took it out and got a single speed motor to the same bracket and all i have 2 wires to connect on that motor and 3 from the furnace a red,black,white and i know its supposed to be high/low/ common for the white i just am jumbled as to how to hook it up it mounts onto the blower beautifuly its just the power i put a new white rodgers and wired it for heat and cool but cool will never be used i just need this guy to start

Dude....Montgomery ward? They have been gone for almost 20 years....Most mounts work beautifully on the wrong motor.

put wire nut on black wire, white to wire from motor, and red to other wire from motor, black would be high speed that is used with cooling since cooling wont be used, that wire is not needed
