Oil to gas with power vent

I have a smith series 8 oil boiler with a tjernlund ss1 power vent. I want to install a carlin ez gas burner. What will I need to do this conversion. someone told me I will need to change the controller. Is this correct and what controller for the burner, or the power vent.
Thank You

Nope, not correct. It will be able to work with your existing aquastat, and should work fine with your SS1.

Oil to gas with power vent

Thank You for the quick response. The Carlin EZ gas burner I am getting comes with a field control, it is a 60200FR microprocessor control. I believe there is an electronic damper that is included with the carlin ez gas unit, will I need this? I am totaly new to gas boilers, I grew up with oil only, so please excuse my ignorance

Don't recall a damper coming with them.

The 60200rf is a simple safety control. Easy to wire. Pretty much just like you would a primary on an oil burner.
