oil furnace not lighting


last winter the furnace was having troble staying light .....i change the nosle and fliter at the tank witch look like it was never changed ......so after that it was running better but would shut off after a while and u would need to reset .......but know here its coming fall its been running fine right up till lat night and it wont light at all ......thinking mybe the clad cell mite be bad or the coil ? if anyone can help shad some light plase so grealty aprade ...ps its a old oil furance if u need more info just ask and ill do my best to get it thanks agine

The Cad cell has no effect on it lighting.

Might want to pull the nozzle assembly again, and see what it looks like.

it would run but it wouldnt light......i took the screw out and touch the coil on the rods and it light up and its running nice and clean and everyone in a while u will need to reset and it will run for a week it will kick out agine

Its not the cad cell.

When is the last time the burner set up was checked? Over fire draft, smoke, CO2, stack temp.

i dont have a clue ....if thur are something that i can check can u tell me how to do thur checks .......bc the last time it was work on april of 2008.....w they put a new motor in and glald cell and ing coil

Reclean the nozzle assembly. And install a new nozzle again.

Nozzles are not something that is reliable.

k ....how do i check the burner set up ?
how do i check over fire draft ?
how do i check smoke co2 ?
how do i check stack temp ?

With a 500 or so dollar Bacharach Fyrite test kit.

Not something everybody has laying around there house.

My setup for checking burners is a fair bit more yet.
