Oil Furnace - black soot

I installed a used oil furnace in my shop. After about 1 year I now have black soot coming out of the air ducts. I also have the air filters turning black, not dirt but oil black.

Do I have a crack in the burner chamber... or something else? What do I do?

You might.

Could also be a blown clean out seal.

Could be other combustion problems.

Heat exchanger needs checked.

If not a problem with the heat exchanger.

A good cleaing, and a proper combustion set needs to be done.
