no heat when turn furnace on
I have a ComfortMaker furnace, think it's the PSV80 or something along that line. This past summer it got water dripped into it from an over flowing AC drip pan. Now the furnace is not blowing hot air. Could it be as simple as the pilot light going out? I can't see if the light is physically lit, even on my other working unit. Should I just shut off the gas, turn it on and hold a match near the pilot to see if it lights?
Any suggestions are helpful... thx!!
Don't do that, If things go wrong you will be writing from the hospital. I belive the furnace you have uses a intermittent pilot but could be new enough to have a hot surface ignitor. Either way if water got into it you may want to have a HVAC company come look at it. If you chose to repair yourself I will need some more information to help you repair it.
Let me know.
