No heat. Pilot light is on. New control board.

I have a tenant in our previous house that says the heat is not working. It is an AC unit in Florida that has a natural gas heating system built into it. The air handler AC unit with natural gas heat is in the garage while the compressor is outside.

Before I drop cash on a repair diagnostic, I was wondering if I could get any theories from the experts out there.

This is what I know.

The pilot light is on. The tenant said he lit it.

The tenant said he had Comcast check their super duper thermostat that they installed and Comcast said everything was connected right.

The tenant can hear the blower fan running when the heat is switched on, there is just no heat, only cold air blowing.

The control board is brand new since May of this year. My tenant had fried the previous one when they didn't change out the air filter which caused a block of ice to melt onto the control board frying it.

Is there possibly some step my tenant missed in lighting the pilot light? Maybe he didn't turn a knob on or something?

Thanks in advance for any help or advice!
