No Heat

I have a white rodgers model 50E47-843 controller on my gas boiler, the yellow light is flashing. I have checked and have the proper polarity, with 120v coming out, the glow plug is lit, vent fan is running, but no heat..

does it have an error code legend on the sticker for the control or in the owners manual for the boiler? that led may be telling you the problem. U should be getting 24 volts AC across the 2 terminals of the gas valve after that plug glows for 7-30 seconds. check your gas meter outside and if U have a gas water htr or other appliances do they work.

hey, yes it does have an error code legend, the flashing yellow light means "improper polarity". i have checked the pins and do have 24v, in correct polarity, on the pins, also have 120v coming out on the L1 pin. gas water heater, and gas stove both work.. glow plug stays light all the time.. i am wondering if it is possible the controller module is bad?

could be but I would check the grounding first. make sure you have continuity from the ground to the boiler AND the plate the board mounts on to a copper water line and use a cheater wire if necessary. there may also be a grd term on the board and with the power off U should get continuity to grd. otherwise the board may be giving a false code and shot.
