danesdad Newbie   Join Date: Jan 2011 Posts: 1	New thermostat for heat I think the house is wired wrong how do i tell which wires on the unit matches the wires on the thermostat

Marty S. Member   Join Date: Oct 2009 Location: Nebraska Posts: 2,298	New thermostat for heat If you think there's splices and color changes the only sure way to tell is disconnect the wires at each end then tie two together and check for continuity.
