New hunter 44860 tstat
I had a Trane Weathertron(heat pump) thermostat and thought it was time to get a new programmable one, so I bought a hunter 44860. I figured out the new wiring from a nearly 25 year old tstat to this new hunter. After conversion here is what I have:
y1(yellow) - compressor stage 1
w2(cream/white) - auxillary heat
g(green) - fan
rh/r(red) - 24v
o(orange) - reverse valve cool
e(black) - emergency heat
b(green) - reverse valve heat
t(black) - taped up
Cool worked good. Heat didn't work. Used the manual and says try jumping rh with rc/r. Flipped breaker, installed jumper, turned back on. Now nothing, no AC or Heat. I was wondering if there was another fuse or breaker that may have gotten switched, or did I really mess up my furnace/compressor/tstat? Any help on this would be great. Thank you.
Okay, I had my red and black wires inverted on thermostat, the conversion is what messed me up. Ended up frying my transformer... the jumper was required though, for heat to work.
