Question

New heat pump wiring question

I have a new York heat pump with gas furnace and am having some problems with figuring out how to wire it. I had a simple split furnace/AC before and am upgrading with heat pump. I am somewhat OK with wiring but this all has me baffled. The instructions for each of the HP, furnace, and thermostat all show something different. I have run 18/10 wire from the thermostat to the furnace and from the furnace to the outside heat pump unit. Here's what I have:

heat pump: YHJF30S41S1A
furnace: TM9X080B12MP11A
thermostat: Honeywell Vision Pro TH8320U1008

They all have the following connections:
Heat pump: R O Y C XL W W1/66
Furnace: R Y/Y2 G C W Y1
Thermostat: RC R O/B Y G C Y2 L E Aux S1 S2

The thermostat has a jumper on R and RC.

I am guessing that the R goes to R goes to R. (red)
I am guessing that O/B goes to O. (orange)
I am guessing that Y goes to Y/Y2 and then to Y. (yellow)
I am guessing that G goes to G. (green)
I am guessing that C goes to C goes to C. (black)
I am guessing that L goes to XL. (blue)

As you can see there is much guessing here, but I think the above is correct. I am not sure what to do with the W and Y1 on the furnace and the W and W1/66 on the heat pump. I am assuming they might go to the E and/or Aux or the Y2 on the thermostat in some way.

Is there anyone out there that can lead me in the right direction? Thanks.

New heat pump wiring question

OK. Thanks for the quick reply. Just a few questions to clear things up on this Honeywell thermostat.

I am assuming that Y (on my thermostat) is the same as Y1 on the diagram you posted.
I see that the diagram is showing E jumpered with W1. Is W1 the same as Aux? Or do I just leave that unjumpered?

I am also noticing that Y2 on the thermostat and W on the HP is not used.

Sorry for all the questions. The guy that supplied all my equipment bailed on me before I could ask him anything and I am stuck figuring out HVAC stuff on my own. Never make deals with family members. They always seem to leave you hanging out to dry. For some reason he insisted on me using ten strand wire and it is looking to me like I am using only seven at most.

Thanks. You have already been very helpful.
