new boiler doesn't shut down


I just installed a dunkirk oil fired burner. Am expetiencing a problem with the pressure relief valve popping. It is set at 180 however it does not shut off at 180. Theoil pressure is over 50 psi. Can you offer some insight

Oil pressure? The oil pressure should be at least 100 PSIG.

Now if you mean water pressure, that is a different story. Sounds like either the aquastat is bad, wired wrong, or set up wrong.

Pics of the wiring may help.
