New AC/furnace blower motor will not turn off
I've recently replaced my blower motor on an old Climatrol furnace. The previous motor vibrated loose and the fan cage was rubbing against the fan enclosure causing the motor to eventually burn out. The motor capacitor also blew out. I replaced the motor and fan relay switch. The fan motor will turn on when the thermostate is turned down but when the temperature is reached and the thermastate turns the compressor off, the fan continues to run. appearently, the thermostate is not telling the blower motor to turn off. Any idea is greatly appreciated?
