need to update A/C system

I need to get an idea of what it would cost to replace my A/C unit and the blower in the attic. I figured I would ask here first before calling for estimates.

My house is roughly 1,300 sq. ft. on two floors. Im installing an window A/C in the basement so that space does not count. I'm in Bergen County, NJ.

Thanks.

Its a DIY site. So installation pricing questions are not good questions.

Good point. But do you realize that there are members of the site that are pro's who give advice too. So I was hoping that someone in the trade would be able to help me.

Thanks for your concern.

Its like asking for a rough price on a car. Lots of makes/models/features/warranties/quality and cost of living differences between areas etc etc which affect the price and why you choose one or the other.

Why yes I do.

HVAC is what i do for a living.
But you probably live too far away for me to come and see what it would cost to do your install.

And every so often, the mods see an install pricing question/thread. And will say the same thing.
