Need Help Installing New Thermostat !!!


I have a Lennox CHP16-311-1P heat pump. My old thermostat was a Honeywell T874R1616 my new one is a Hunter 44860. I'm not sure which wires go where. My old one was like this red on R,blue on W2,Green on G white on W1,yellow on Y1, and brown on X. Any idea ?

Need Help Installing New Thermostat !!!


Take the Hunter back to Home Depot. It will break in a year or two. The T-stat should have came with instructions and you should have written down what every wire went to. All t-stats are similar in wiring. R, C, Y1, Y2, G, W1, W2, O/B. The X on your old t-stat is a common terminal for the monitor lights. Your missing a wire for O or B from your old t-stat. O energizes the reversing valve for cooling. B energizes reversing valve for heat.
