Need help with Gas Furnance-FASCO INDUCER ASSEMBLY

I have two gas furnaces and last week one stopped working. I checked the blower inducer assembly (motor was hot but no movement) and found some broken blades from the squirrel fan. I removed the broken blades and reinstall the inducer assembly, but still not heat. The gas furnce is made by Central service systems with a fasco inducer blower 7062-3136.
I have done everything I know of to fugure out the issue to no avail. When I turn the heat on, the fan works but no fire in the pilot. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

Aziza007

You mean the pressure sensor/switch? It opens and closes because I blew air into the vaccum line and I hear it click on and off. Otherwise, not sure what ps stands for.

ps requries suction to operate. suck on the hose & see if your furnace will start. If it does your not getting enough suction/vacuum to close the ps

I found that the id fan is very delicate and engineered to provide proper suction only with all its blades.

sounds like a pressure switch promblem. becareful when you blow and suck on it you can damage the diapharm on the inside. but if it is opning and closing it should be good the only real way to test it is with an manometer to see if it open and closes properly. and if your missing blades on your IDM replace that fisrt thatsw your promblem.

Thank you all. Now assuming there not enough pressure/vaccum to operate the ps, what will be the corrective action short of changing the blower assembly? Thanks

Aziza

aziza if your missing blades on your IDM you have to replace. or see if you can just get the squirell cage(blades) for it. the IDM removes all the carbon monoxide from your house without that it will leak into your home and make you sick or kill you. once that is fixed it should work unless you have other promblems.

Going here: http://www.fasco.com/xref_list.asp
punching in 7062-3136 under OEM nameplate, FASCO refers to as A168

Going here: http://www.fasco.com/fasco/pdf/p25.pdf, see specs for A168
maybe used to be A147? Also look carefully at pic and specs.

See also here for more match: http://www.fasco.com/fasco/pdf/p71.pdf
see more stats to match against your unit.

If you want to change just the blower wheel, see if your broken one has part # 8710-4358 stamped on back. If so, that's the SKU # at CSH Incorporated. When I ordered in September, part was $23.34 plus $7.80 to ship. 989-723-8985

Original link we/you used in appliance section will refer you to pics and text that are very helpful.
