Need help with furnance.


First tab is fan off, second one is fan on, third one is the limit/burner off safety.

In the pic it looks like your on is 165, set it to 140. Also looks like your off is set to 50, try 110. Probably time for a new fan limit switch.

Okay, so your fan works, that's good. You can leave it at the four minute start time, I don't see a problem with that, since there is a good chance that this was "adjusted" along with your other "repairs" as well.

To be honest, I don't even know what the contractor that came out did with the wiring. The furnace was wired up wrong and they misdiagnosed it as a bad valve... Anyways... thank you for all the help. I'm happy to have a working heater.

I adjusted the fan limit switch. It turns the fan on about 2 minutes after the burners fire up, and cycles it on and off in about one minute intervals. The only way to get it to run for longer periods was to raise the 'fan on' tab to 160 degrees, but I'd rather not do that

Blower may be wired to run at to high of a blower speed.

does the transformer in a furnace control the fan motor turning on and off ?
