Need help connecting Trane TZEMT400 Thermostat; no 'C' wire / 24VAC

I am trying to install a Trane TZEMT400 thermostat

Product website: HomeSeer: HVAC
Installation manual: http://www.part2.schlage.com/docs/Th...ions_ENG_f.pdf

I checked my current thermostat and I have wires labeled Y,G,RC,W1 . My RC terminal is jumpered to RH. I opened my Carrierre AC unit and couldn't find a terminal strip like shown in the instructions. I did see the wires from the thermostat but they were wire nutted to other wires that went to various places in the panel. I wasn't able to trace where they all went. I hooked up the new thermostat and it did not power up. My unit produces both AC and electric heat.

I asked on an internet forum (homeseer forum) and someone told me that they purchased a 24VAC transformer and connected one side of the transformer to C and the other side to RH. Would this work for me? Would I need to cut the jumper on the board?

you have to add a conductor if you dont have an extra in the loom. This stat requires ground (common) connection to 24com
