Hello everyone! I'm new to this forum and hoping that someone here can help me with a problem.
For a whole bunch of reasons that I won't disclose because I don't want to bore you guys, I want to tweak the thermostat attached to my central AC/heat system so that the air conditioning will NOT come on. I don't want to do anything to the heat or to the fan.
In other words, I need to "break" the thermostat if you catch my drift.
I removed the cover and saw a bunch of different colored wires and a circuit board but I really know nothing about HVAC .
I can tell you that the thermostat is a White Rogers model # 1F78 Non-Prgm.
So if anyone can tell me in layman's terms how to "break" my thermostat so that the AC will no longer work, I will be very grateful.
