need help asap got new born
 

well i just got this house a week ago it is a heat pump with oil back up last night we went to sleep with heat on 70 got down to 40 last night woke up it was 58 in the house. the heat was on aux heat but i got no oil yet to expensive. i turn the heater one degree over temp inside auto go to aux any ideas

Post brand and model number of thermostat. It may be a dual fuel thermostat, and you may need to set the lock out temp lower to keep the heat pump running.
