Natural gas valve
 

Floor furnace(Old) , the pilot will not stay lit when I release control, I replaced thermopile but this did not correct. I noticed the valve also had a wire connected to the terminal where the thermopile was connected to the valve and the other end of wire screwed into the valve like a thermocouple. Could the valve have both a thermopile and a thermocouple?? Where the thermopile provides current for thermostat and thermocouple.
