Natural gas conversion

After getting approval from my local natural gas utility for them to provide natural gas service to my home I started searching for the best buy on top of the line natural gas heating units. After considerable effort I ended up purchasing the equipment in March. Although the company where I purchased the equipment notified some 25 contractors of my purchases not a single contractor has contacted me indicating interest in installing the equipment. I am located on Long Island in Huntington New York. Any suggestions on how to get quotes on installing the equipment would be most appreciated.

That is probably because they are still backlogged from Sandy. YOU need to make the contacts, just do not sit around an wait.

Maybe something bad, maybe something good. I guess we'll never know, 'cause you're going to guard it. You won't touch it, will you?

Try going to Detroit and buying all the sub assemblies for a new car and see how many mechanics will come to your house and assemble it.

The money is in sales and always has been. So to get quotes take it back, get a refund and a contractor will give you a quote, bring it back to your property and install it. That's just how some things are in the DIY world.

reminds me of the restaurant owner who buys car parts and takes them to his auto mechanic to install on his car to save money on parts. the care mechanic was tired of this so he went into the restaurant for breakfast and brought in 2 raw eggs, 3 pieces of uncooked bacon, and 2 slices of bread and gave them to the restaurant owner to cook them so his meal would be cheeper. the restaurant owner got the picture.

We had a fishing pier down in FL on the Gulf that had a restaurant... they would take the fish you caught and fry 'em up for .xx per pound. Those were the days.
