Nat. Gas Bioler... Power vent won't shutoff

I believe the system is a Teledyne Minitherm but can't verify till I get home. This a condo and the flue vent with the assist of a squire cage fan to the out this is now running 24/7 I think it is supposed to shutoff right? if yes what might be wrong (air pressure switch)?

Many thanks

Not much info to go on, I suspect it is a relay sticking. Does the burners still fire up too? Are you getting heat? Need more info.

I belive the minitherm is a natural draft furnace. Is this a add on sidewall exaust kit? and yes the should shut off.

Nat. Gas Bioler... Power vent won't shutoff

Hi guys thanks for the quick replies

SKIP4661

The burners are still firing and I am still getting heat the only thing that seems to be wrong is the fan that exhausts the system is running non-stop. As I noted I'm not at home currently but is some other info I can to you when I get there?

JohnH1
I'm fairly certain this a minitherm I am 100% confident that it is power vented either way

Thanks Again

so hopefully i've attached a couple of files that show the system i'm working with.

The first pic is the fan the is always on

and

the second photo is the model a JVT so I think this mean it supposed to be natural draft but from what you can see it is being power assisted

I don't see a control set up from the water heater.
So it is probably set up to run 24/7.

Both the boiler and water heater can turn on the induser. Both have a indipendent switch to turn it on. The water heater pressure switch may be stuck. Try lightly tapping on the round switch at the base of the water heater were the wires attach. I cannot tell were the switch on the boiler is that controlls the induser. Again lightly you dont need to beat on it.
Definetly get it fixed that thing running 24/7 is going to kill your gas bill.

I also do not see the required spill switch safetys at eather divirter on boiler or water heater. Have that chech and corrected if needed.

I have an unrelated (and probably not important) question from the pictures. Shouldn't all those pipes coming out of the boiler be insulated? Or are they in a living space so it doesn't make that much difference?

The guy who lived here before never insulated them but i plan to. a buddy of mine at work is going to bring some spare insulation at home that he is going to let me have.

6 one way, half a dozen the other way.

They are losing heat to that area.
They are also keeping that area warmer, so the water heater doesn't run as often as it would if they were insulated.

Unless the heat escapes to other areas which it tends to do.
