my furnace quit putting out cold air but still runs and leaks


i have a carrier furnace and the other day it quit pushing out air. i went down to check if it was running and it is but water is pooling up underneath. what could it be i cant afford to call someone out

Is the blower still running? If so your coil is iced up. The cause of this is usually a dirty air filter. It could also just be a plugged condensate drain and water is getting splashed onto the coil and freezing and also overflowing the drain pan. Turn the unit off and check your filter first.

If blower isn't running, then condensing unit should shut off.

If it isn't due to a dirty filter you may have lost enough refrigerant to cause an undercharged condition.
