Mr UPS...

....was very kind to me today. He delivered

* A Fieldpiece micron gauge head
* an Appion valve core removal tool, with side access port
* a flaring and swaging kit.
* a ratchet tubing bender kit

Comments: The valve core tool is really pretty. Would definitely get your attention hanging on the pegboard at the HVAC store. I'm sure it will work great too.

I was worried about the Fieldpiece. Would I wind up having to get their digital display? Nahhh, it terminates in a couple of small diameter banana plugs. Pretty sure I have matching jacks in my junk. Worst case, I hook up to it with a couple of clip leads.

The swaging kit has no name. No doubt from the no-name Swaging Machine Works. Seems to work OK, although the clamp mars the tubing up pretty fierce. Definitely got my $20 worth on that one.

The bender ( Mastercool 70070 ) is no doubt overkill for this one job. Probably should have just gotten some springs. Sure does make nice bends though. It's a lot bigger than its picture on the Internet .

I think I'm going to need some little "patch hoses" with Schraders at each end for hooking up miscellaneous stuff. Can such be bought off the shelf?

*** What's wrong? Is it inaccurate? Doesn't last? Intermittant? Hopefully, this one will at least last through two jobs.

p.s. Not bad for a cell phone
