Monitor oil heater not firing up

We have a monitor heater that wont fire up. There is oil in the tank, we have replaced the filter at the oil tank and cleaned the one at the stove its self - can't figure out how to make it fire up. Stopped about 2 days ago. Cold in Alaska!
