Monitor 40

Used to live in a apartment that had an oil-fired Monitor 40. From what I recall, if the oil level was getting low, it would run OK on low, but at high, it would sputter and die.

Just a thought, how is your fuel level? Addtionally, have you checked, cleaned the fuel filter lately? You may be getting enough through the filter at low speed, but when it kicks on for high, perhaps the fuel flow rate is increased and can not get through the filter.....

Just my $.02
