mini split Wiring question???

Hello,
i bought a mini split system and the wiring between the indoor and the outdoor units confuses me. I was going to have a 30A disconnect between the service panel and the outdoor unit. According to the wiring diagram, i need another 20A disconnect between the Indoor and the Outdoor units along a 5A breaker / or a fuse between leads S1 & S2. can someone explain this to mehttp://hvac-talk.com/vbb/images/smilies/confused.gif. Thanks!!!

I believe some jurisdictions require a disconnect for this line because it feeds line voltage back into the house for the fan motor. Ask your inspector if you need the disconnect. Are you in the UK?

No! I am in Texas.

What is the model number?

it is a 2.5 ton cooling Fujitsu unit. ASU30/36CLX. i know how to read the diagram, but doesn't know what it translate to hardware wise or is it necessary. i know it is essential for a regular central system. on this, all the literature connects straight from outdoor to indoor with fuse or a disconnect

Again, this can only be answered by your inspector. I just had a quad zone Mitsu system installed ,and the company did not use disconnects between the outdoor and indoor units. I just ran a 30A fused disconnect(w/ 20A time delay fuses) for the outdoor unit and that's all.
