Mini Split HVAC Question

I have just installed a new mini split Klimarie 3 zone unit
(KSIM30912-H216). My question is that when I put it in heat mode it started freezing up on the condensor but the inside units were pumping out very warm heat. I just wanted to know if this is normal it was in operation for about 30 minutes. The outside temp was 43 and the inside units were up on 82 just to check heating mode. The unit was pre charged for 25 foot and all runs are shorter than that. Any help would be great thanks

Mini Split HVAC Question

Yes that is supposed to happen. Ductless mini splits are a heat pump which means that it is pulling heat out of the 40 degree air outside and sending it inside. When it gets too frozen it will automatically switch to defrost mode like a freezer.
