Question Mini split heat pump...your expertise, please!

I am considering installing a ductless mini split heat pump. House is located in southeast Louisiana, 59 years old, raised, 1400sqft, presently cooled with window units, heated with natural gas freestanding, unvented heaters. A local contractor (with good reputation) installs Fujitsu and Turbo Air. The Turbo Air would cost less, but I have found very little info about them (only their website info). Does anyone have any experience with Turbo Air heat pumps? Fujitsu heat pumps? Are the mini split systems as efficient as they claim to be? Thank you.
