Mini split cycling on and off

I just had a Daikin mini split installed on Friday 3MSX24JVJU. The indoor units and outdoor unit are cycling on and off like every 3 to 5 minutes. This seems very abnormal to me. I thought that the outdoor unit was suppossed to basically stay on and ramp up and down to meet the load. Any insights?

Mini split cycling on and off

I have both heads set to 70F and auto fan. It was about 47F out this morning and 65F during the day. When the installer tested the unit it was putting out 110F (65F outside) and it has no problem reaching the set point, but then it cycles on and off every 3 to 5 minutes.

The other thing is I have it set to 70F but it goes as high as 74F according to my electronic baseboard thermostat before turning off. The unit is mounted above a new double paned window. Do you think this is possibly affecting the temperature reading the head is getting?

Hey Biggles,

Did you ever get your problem resolved? I'm experiencing a very similar situation here.

Thanks.
