miller gun furnace won't stay on

I recently bought this old trailer with a Miller MOC 80 furnace in it. It had been working fine, now it will come on if I reset, but won't stay on long enough for heat, blower won't come on. I am new this. I posted a question earlier "mac 80 problem" then realized I hadn't posted as HVAC. Sorry if this creates a problem. Could it be the nozzle -- where is it? or the thermostat?, or the flame detection mechanism? or ???

open the service panel. Look for where wires are going into the unit.

This is a Miller gas furnace, it has a control board. Is yours anything like this? If so the board would be below blower compartment in metal box. You can remove the lid from said box.

there is a small box w/2 blk, 1 blu, 1 red wire, a toggle switch for winter/off/smr - set to wntr, and a plate w/schmtc - I removed - numerous wires under it. All of the wires appear to be connected, not frayed.

Take some pictures, please, of everything. Schematics, box, all wiring.

MOC should be an oil fired furnace.

Its an old fuel oil furnace. You have to clean the gun/nozzle assembly every year. Its a nasty mess. Best to find someone experienced in these units.

Yep. If not done properly it can drip oil in the combustion chamber, overload it, catch fire and trailers burn to the ground very easily. Don't reset it more than once or it may be coating the chamber with unburnt oil. Once that lights up the chamber turns red hot and you have an uncontrolled runaway wildfire.

It should also be setup properly by a Pro with a combustion analyzer so it burns cleanly and safely and efficiently. Otherwise the oil barons will be sending you Thank You notes and Xmas cards.
