maybe not the pressure switch?
I have an Amana Air Command 80SSE that came with my house, about 12 years old.
Yesterday I was getting 3 blinking lights (pressure switch stuck open). Heat was running but not blowing anything, so we checked and found this.
Checked to see if the Inducer was running- it was spinning, and could hear it, blew in the hose, and then checked the pressure switch.
P-switch was checked with meter, showed 24 volts, so still open, figured it was that it had gone bad. Got a new one today, and wa-laa, same problem as yesterday.
Have read stories about birds/animals stuck behind the inducer and maybe the inducer not running properly.. would anyone be able to give me any direction as to how to check these directions or if there is something I may have missed in my checks thus far.
Pull vent pipe and look in it, check chimney, and look down toward the inducer.
checked the vent pipe and chimney, everything was clear. Then got a welder's cleaning tool, really just a small piece of wire and cleaned the nozzle where the tube from the inducer to the p-switch was. Meter showed the switch had closed and everything fired right up. Must have been a little piece of rust or something lodged in there and once removed, good to go!
