Low voltage problems!!

When I hook up the low voltage to my circuit board on my furnace it drops from 24 to 5. I've tryed 2 differant boards and have a new transformer that reads 24 when not hook to the board. If you can help it would be great. Thanks!

What VA is the new transformer.

Did you try leaving all other low voltage wires off, and seeing what voltage you read.

sounds like a bad stat or another load that is shorted in the low voltage circuit. I've seen contactors in ac units cause this.
