Lose of Heat Through Duct Work


How can one stop the lose of heat through your heat ducts?

I would like to make my Heat Ducts more effect but would like to know how one can do it?

Lose of Heat Through Duct Work


rifleman,there are products such as mastic that are brushed on all joints and can be purchased at an hvac supply house. A diy guy could use silicon around the plenum where sweating occurs and a good foil tape around all other joints. This would help with air loss. If the ducts run in a non conditioned space they should be insulated.
