lighting the pilot

I have an old Tappen furnace model # GOF 800 30 E4. The pilot light is out and I'm not sure where to light it. Is there a video anywhere that I can view to make sure that I'm lighting it right?

SHUT THE FURNACE switch off on the side or the stat...at the furnace..turn the gas valve dial to pilot tape a match to a long screw driver or something like it..WHY need to reach into the burner follow the pencil round silver tube going into the burner off the gas valve you'll see the pilot assembly.light the match reach in and press down the dial on the valve in the pilot position... count to 30 once it lightscontinue to hold the dail down (don't worry the main gas will not light up) let up the dial ...the pilot should stay lit servcie switch up then reset the stat to HEAT..main burner should run.NO PILOT after dial is released if you don't stay on when you release the dial thermolcuple is weak or not generating a signal to tell the main gas valve a pilot flame is present....see video good luck

and i was going to tell the poster to light a lenght of spagetti to light the pilot... that guy was excited and realized it's not brain surgery and he didn't get banged for $200.... take a short lenght of solid wire and take a needle nose and put a pig tail bend at one end then compress it slip the match into it...and then hang it on the side of the furnace till spring
