Lennox G61MP won't stay burning

Hello, I have a Lennox elite G61MP. Worked fine last winter, over the summer the main control board was replaced otherwise no work done. Now the furnace reads a 5+1 flash code saying a rollout circuit is open. powered down the furnace to reset rollouts, no help, by passed the rollouts to test, no help, also witnessed no rolling of flames all lit with a nice strong blue flame. control board still gave same error message with rollouts bypassed.

Try to reset your error code by turning the circuit breaker for your furnace off and back on.

Still same code. Called a local tech. chatted with him about the flame censor, and pressure censor, he said if they were the issue the board "should" have come up with another code with the rollouts bypassed. He's suggesting either a bad board or improper install, any thoughts?

I appreciate the help, and time.

Here is a link to some info that may assist you:
http://www.lennox.com/pdfs/installat..._G61MP_IOM.pdf

On page 56 it tells you how to clear error codes by jumpering between R(2) and (1) on the control board.
I suggest you clean the flame sensor AND the face of the burner it sits in front of with fine emery paper or steel wool. Also make sure the hose going to the pressure switch is clean and the port on the inducer where this hose attaches is clean. You can use a paper clip to clean out the ends of the tube and the port. Sometimes just doing that will clear up erratic problems.

checked the hoses to both pressure switches, seemed clear. Cleared error codes by jumping R 2 and 1, powered on, same issue. Runs for 5 minutes then shuts down. I'm wondering if it was the flame sensor wouldn't it give me a "lost flame sense" 4+3 code?

Yes, it seems like it would throw a code. The 5+1 error code shows that a rollout switch is open or has previously been open. Did you reset both rollout switches before clearing the code?

As far as I can tell they aren't like push button resets. How would they reset?

The two rollout switches should be on the burner box. There should be a small button right in the middle of the switch that you press until it clicks.

Yes, just push the red button to reset (if tripped). The Roll-Out switches monitor the burner chamber and will trip if the temperature in the chamber exceeds switch rating. This is usually caused by either a heat exchanger issue, clogged condensate, or lack of combustion air to the chamber. This switch will trip and must be manually reset by pushing the red button. These are very important and it is important to find the reason they tripped.

Neither push in at all and look exactly the same as each other / pic. I would assume never tripped. This is the first time this season we've had to run the heat since the main board was replaced due to A/C issues.

Well, you must have an issue with your control board since it shows a 5+1 code. The person who installed the board didn't perform function tests at the time of installation?

Probably one of the pins in the molex connector that attaches to the new board is pushed back and not making contact. There is a white plastic connector with about 9-12 wires in it that plugs into the board. Shut off the power and spread the 2 wings on it and pull it back. Carefully look inside at the pins with a magnifying glass and see if one is pushed back and move it forward with needle nose pliers and re-install. Push them all in a bit for good measure anyway. Make sure that connector is pushed ALL the way in to the board and the wings clip in place properly.

Checked the connectors, all seemed fine, pushed in for good measure, reset error code, started up, same issue.

Can't say I watched tests run, one would hope, but with it being put in on 95-100* day and it initially lighting...

Check to make sure the intake and exhaust vents are totally clear. If there is any restriction or blockage that can also cause your issue.
