lennox g26 door switch

My lennox furnace was running but the squirrel cage motor was not running. I noticed that the door switch has only 1 wire on it and it is not connected to anything. I thought it wouldn't even try to run with this switch disconnected the schematic shows the switch going to L1 but this terminal is taken. where should this wire be connected?

It sounds like your door switch has already been deactivated as you should have two wires going to that door switch.
And when that door switch is working properly, and the door is off, that furnace should not be working..

That's what I figured switch generally needs two wires to switch something.

The problem with just telling you how the door switch is normally connected and you initiating those changes is us not knowing how incompatable the original electrical furnace bypass may be with that change.

I understand. If I was to do it I would just connect the L1 leg straight to where the switch lead should switch to. I am guessing that is what was done since everything looks quite normal.
