Question

Lennox G20Q3/4E-100-5

I am replacing the spark control module on my furnace,I already ordered the part which was supposed to be a Johnson replacement mode according to the picture on the website but when I upon receiving the part it is a BASO BG1600M02CJ-1AAC which the company says is the new replacement part upgrade. the problem is that it does not appear to wire up the same especially the orange sensor or probe wire that pushes into the round black grommet on the Johnson unit. there does not appear to be a place to connect it on this replacement part.
any help?

I've been at the place you're at.
Could be that it's not compatible.

Contact whatever manuf. will speak to you or e-mail you about this.

If no one will, it is the manufacturer's revenge on DIY people.
If you can post schematics of both the replacement part and your furnace we can possibly "beat the system".

Hello Yoyizit, I did indeed contact the Manf. and they say that it is the correct part and they take no returns on electronic parts. I guess it does not matter that they switched the part and it's picture on the website after I had placed the order. I guess we will call this a lesson learned and I will order a Honeywell unit from Cozyparts which is a Lennox supplier.
Thanks much for the reply it is appreciated.http://www.diychatroom.com/images/smilies/censored.gif

Bummer.

I did read a book once who the author dedicated to all the people who cheated him. He said that
the tuition he paid
compared to the lesson he learned
was a bargain.

Still, there is "implied merchantability".
If you contact your state's attorney [whose salary you've already paid] he/she might arrange for you to be
"[made whole] v. to pay or award damages sufficient to put the party who was damaged back into the position he/she would have been without the fault of another."

If you do make a fuss for the parts supplier and they are politically connected you'll be lucky if they don't send people by to beat the daylights out of you!

My supervisor actually threatened me with this, if I would come forward with info that put a [large] corporation [that makes cars] in, let's say, "a bad light".

Sounds like you been hoodwinked. Give them a report at ripoffreport.com.

A universal Honeywell module will work as well as a Lennox 53L90 module. The only difference is the Lennox module has a 45 second prepurge, wich is required for the G26 condensing furnace but not necessary for the Whisper Heat. The universal may even save you a few bucks.

Thanks for the link.
I've already contacted them about the conduct of a government agency.
If these whistleblowers get shut down they must have been doing something effectively.

Lennox G20Q3/4E-100-5

today I received the Honeywell 30W3310 replacement module kit for my LENNOX G20Q3/4E-100-5, I open it and see that it is necessary to convert the Spark wire to use a 1/4 inch blade style disconnect (which they provide in the kit) but upon further checking it appears that I will have to convert all of the other wires to 1/4/inch disconnects as well. can anyone tell me if my observations are correct and I am correct where would you purchase these connectors (is there any thing special about them or will any 1/4 inch connectors do).
