For a Lennox furnace G20Q3/4E-100-1, is the fan motor only one speed? If so, is there a motor I could substitute, in order to get increased rpm and air flow?
Thanks.
Should be a multi speed motor. If its on med/med high, going to high won't give you a whole lot more air. Could be your return is too small. What kind of air flow problems are you having.
It is not my furnace. Trying to help out a friend that owns the house. Says that low flow has always been a problem. Tried adjusting the dampers on other ducts, to get more flow into the family room area. Did not seem to make any difference. I'll double check to see if it is a multi-speed motor and if so, what setting it is on.
Not sure if this will help you in your case- but I noticed I had a pretty good increase in air flow out the vents when I finally cleaned the evaporator coil inside the air handler.
