lennox deal

Help is needed today
The guy wants me to sign the contract for Lennox furnace and AC
Lennox G61MPV. The AC is Lennox 14ACX.
He is claiming that he is matching the quote I have from Carrier for
59tp5a060e17-14 furnace and 24ABC624A003 AC. So, he is giving me the same price.
He is trying to make me to sign the contract tomorrow morning. Can I trust him that these are equivalent???

Equipment aside I would be concerned about anyone who might be pressuring you into a quick decision...unless your current system is down and a rapid decision is needed.

Was the installing contractor company referred to you by someone with previous experience with them or have you checked references etc on them?

To me you want to make more sure you have aligned yourself with a competent contractor before you worry about equipment comparisons and prices.

They are identical in features and quality but he should not be pressuring you to do anything. Wait a few days or a week and he may drop his price $4-500. Like a used car salesman will call you in a few days to see if you are still interested and then you can really talk price. Unfortunately they try to pressure women into buying but the same goes for men just not as much, stick to your guns. Both sets of equipment are very good BUT the ACs are entry level and can be a bit noisy so I would go up one series. You may be happier with the XC series of Lennox ACs unless sound is not an issue. You also get a 10 yr compressor warranty vs 5 yr for the entry level units. The G61V furnace is bombproof, tried tested and true and been out for 8 yrs so all the wrinkles are ironed out. Going to be replaced VERY soon by the EL296V so you may not want to wait too long. Lennox will have parts for it for 20-25 yrs so I would be comfortable with that part of the equtaion. I sold both brands but would lean towards the Lennox personally.

I think that carrier is the Carrier mod. Its really only 3 stage. but it would be a level above the G61.

I looked at their website, it is a 2 stage like the G61V.
