Lennox condesnser fan hookup
I have Lennox HS19-311V-2P. The condenser fan shaft rusted out on me and broke.
I bought a replacement for it---a 65g60, I is made by emerson. The problem is, the origional motor that was removed had 4 wires. 2 purple going to the capacitor , one black and one orange. Each going to the line contactor. The new motor has only 3 wires. One Black, one orange and one purple. On the motor It says that the orange is common, black is line, and to hook up the cap between orange and purple. How do I go about doing this with only 3 wires? Thanks in advance for any info. |
Black to black,
orange to orange, purple from motor to one side of the capacitor, other terminal on capacitor should be wired to join up to the common orange ( i am assuming a 208 v 1 phase motor). Be careful!! |
Thanks
That sounds good to me. A buddy of mine at work told me the same hook-up, but he's is not a pro and I didn't want to fry anything. Thanks again for your info
