Lennox AC not cooling

My AC stopped cooling last night. Blower still ran. No cold on the line at the compressor. I shut it off at the Tstat and waited about 30 minutes . When I turned it back on it cooled normally. A few weeks ago something stuck while set to 78 degrees, and I came home to a house that was about 66. Is this a Tstat problem or something else? It is a LuxPro, seven day digital programmable. Photo of data plate attached.

Lennox AC not cooling

Could be thermostat. Easiest way to tell is used a multimeter next time and see if the ac is getting low voltage or not.

could B the tstat sticking or the magnetic contactor in the outdoor unit sticking. rare that they stick on/ (off yes) so I suspect the tstat ,95% chance is the problem.

Lennox AC not cooling

I changed the Tstat with a new Honeywell 7 day programmable one. I had a problem, at first, following the instructions and it didn't work. I called the 800 number and amazingly enough was able to get right thru to a tech who told me that the C wire was not needed and to put the jumper back on the Rc - Rh terminals. This fixed it, I now am getting cool air ! Thanks for the help!
