It's cold in East Windsor, NJ and all HVAC and other utility repair crews are focused on Hurricane Sandy recovery.
Our Lennox 80MGF-75A furnace is not providing heat to the home. The gas is on (the Honeywell valve inside the furnace is in the open/on position as well) and the thermostat batteries have been replaced. I pulled the ignitor, inspected it, and cleaned it.
The LED lights indicate normal operation (synchronized flashing green fast when the thermostat calls for heat, synch'd flashing slow when not calling).
When heat is called for, the blower motor engages on. There is no ignition sound from the ignitor (no clicking sound that I would expect to hear as sparks are being generated).
I've read through the user manual: http://hvacpartsshop.net/80MGF_Series.pdf?b467e680
The furnace is a 1998 install, and everything seems normal except for the lack of ignition. No gas smell emerges when heat is called for, either.
Any help on troubleshooting is greatly appreciated! Thanks, John
