Check the warranty if a pro installs it. I was surprised to find that when the fan motor went on the AC in my wife's shop. The warranty was only 1 year. With crappy warranties like this, I say go for it.
If it was in your "wife's shop"-then thats a commercial application and the fine print in any warranty is one year only on commercial applications (even if its residential equipment). However, in a residential application the parts warranty is typically 10years.
When a mfr.flat out states warranty void for all internet purchases and the selling company still registers it full well knowing the policy I wouldn't call them reputable. Fraudulent is a more fitting word.
