Installing a wireless thermostat

Hello,

We dont currently have a thermostat in our home, there is just a programming unit attached to the boiler.

When the heating is on, it quickly gets too hot and so I want to instal a thermostat. I'm new to the area and so don't know any good trades people yet. I'm tempted to just buy one and try to fit it myself but am nervous about how complicated all the wiring will be to connect it to the boiler.

Can anyone tell me whether this is this an easy DIY job or if I really should get a professional to come and connect it all up?

Thanks!

What kind of heating system do you have? I can't believe someone installed a boiler without a thermostat.

You really need to have someone look at that one.

Wireless thermostats let you control the temperature in one or more locations ... The convenience of installing a system with wiring behind the walls is one

Installing a wireless thermostat

BPH,

I am a student doing a project for school about thermostats and I have a quick survey (7 questions) about how people interact with thermostat setup. If you have a moment I would really appreciate it if you filled one out.

You can find the survey at:

Thanks!
