Installing new thermostat, getting no response

I was recently changing the batteries on my old thermostat and accidentally broke one of the prongs off when trying to reassemble it. I bought a new thermostat and have followed the directions the best i can but I am getting no responses from it. I can't get air to come on either in heat or cool mode. I have even tried two different models of thermostat. Any advise?

Check the low voltage fuse in the furnace or air handler.

Installing new thermostat, getting no response

Thanks for the help on the topic. I have no earthly idea about how to find the low voltage fuse. Can anyone help?

Check your connections. Is this a 2-wire? If so, connect the two wires at the thermostat end and see if the heater/AC turns on. If so, then your circuit is OK.
Now, look in the instructions for the thrermostat about connecting a 2-wire system (if this is the case.)
