Installing Hunter Programmable Thermo...Need help!

j3rman Newbie   Join Date: Aug 2010 Posts: 2	Installing Hunter Programmable Thermo...Need help! I have an old Trane thermostat and I'm looking to replace it with a Hunter programmable thermostat but I'm stuck at the wiring process. Below are some pictures of my old thermo still connected and the new thermo not connected. Can someone tell me which wires connect where? Thanks in advance. Old: New:

gregzoll Average Joe/ex-Navy IC3     Join Date: Dec 2006 Location: Midwest - Central Illinois Posts: 9,314	Installing Hunter Programmable Thermo...Need help! You need to return the Hunter POS, and get a Honeywell that is for Heat pumps, or even contact your HVAC contractor in your area, and get a White Rogers. What is wrong with the Trane Thermo, that you decided to replace it?

beenthere An old Tradesmen   Join Date: Oct 2008 Location: PA Posts: 18,708	Installing Hunter Programmable Thermo...Need help! You have a heat pump. But that hunter(not worth its money stat) is not made for heat pumps. Get a good Honeywell heat pump thermostat.
