I am redoing my bathroom and want to swap out a cast iron radiator with a baseboard. I got a 2' section from my local supply house, it's one of these Burnham (pictured below).
I don't know if the guy doing my bathroom has ever installed these before. Anything in particular to know? Why are there two holes on each side?
Should I install drywall behind the unit? I have read things about putting a foil reflector behind the unit to make them more effective. Is it ok to NOT drywall behind the unit, as to "recess" it 1/2" into the wall. It would be right up against the studs in this scenario with insulation behind it (outside wall). Is this ok?
