Ignition problems ongas boiler for steam system

I have a gas boiler for a steam heating system.
The ignition is going off every 30 secs or so (and sometimes igniting for a second or two) when the temperature is set below room temperature. Othersise OK to heat normally (when set above room temp).
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Nick
